After relocating from Tucson to San Diego in 1990, I accepted a temporary position with Maryland Casualty as a "Kelly girl". It was a nice fit, so they purchased my contract from Kelly and I've been in the industry since, working my way through various personal and commercial service and underwriting positions. I joined Farmer Leavitt in 2001 as a personal lines CSR, then transitioned into commercial lines in 2005. I currently hold a CISR designation and am working torwards a CIC designation as well.
